Intermodal
transport is appealing because there are several advantages. In addition to the
significant CO2 reduction, there is also a loading benefit of 10% for the
transport of heavy goods. The maximum weight that can be loaded is 28 tons
instead of 24 tons. The toll roads are also largely avoided, which means that
we can offer an excellent price-quality ratio. It is a complete solution
because we can approach transport from different angles.

Wetron has a Quality management system based on ISO 9001 guidelines, by which processes can be analyzed and optimized. The performance is continuously monitored. Because of this we can adjust and optimize the processes when necessary.

Safety
The fleet of Wetron is fully equipped for ADR transport and certified with SQAS (Safety and Quality Assessment System). Our drivers receive regular ADR and safety courses concerning cargo security. Moreover, Wetron is in possession of a IFS 2.3 certificate. This means that Wetron may transport and store food and non-food goods.
Sustainability
Sustainability has been one of the top priorities for years at Wetron. Wetron is one of the founders in intermodal transport from and to Italy. Our train operates on electricity as a result of which the CO2 emission greatly decreases. This is how Wetron has already saved tons of CO2. We combine the modalities road and rails to optimize the flow of goods, bundle volumes and reduce the CO2 emission during transport. Sustainability is getting more important and the demand for sustainable transport is increasing. Calculating the total CO2 emission and decreasing this is a service we can also offer.
Wetron has received the Lean and Green award for this achievement.
Other than saving CO2 via intermodal transport Wetron is also busy with other ways of sustainable entrepreneurship. Multiple trucks already use HVO fuel. This is fuel on vegetable oil basis. With this we can even further reduce the CO2 emission. In addition to this the majority of our trucks have cleaner EEV and Euro 6 engines.
